The City of Riverbank invites you to enjoy the many offerings at Riverbank’s 39th annual Cheese and Wine Exposition. For the first time, we are also adding craft beers to the mix!

More than 100 vendors, consisting of artists and crafters from all over the United States, and food booths, add excitement to this festive occasion.

This year’s tasting event will feature a wide array of locally produced artisanal cheeses, wines that showcase the Central Valley’s most outstanding grapes, several varietals that are newly being imported to our region, as well as a selection of craft beers – all individually chosen to highlight the best and most delicious tastes of our region.

Relay For Life of Modesto
Event Date: Saturday, May 17, 2014
Event Time: 9:00 am
Event Location: Johansen High School 641 Norseman Drive Modesto, CA 95357

What Is Relay For Life?
Each year, more than 4 million people in over 20 countries raise much-needed funds and awareness to save lives from cancer through the Relay For Life movement.

Celebrate
During a Relay event, participants and survivors celebrate what they’ve overcome.

Remember
We remember people lost to the disease, and honor people who have fought or are fighting cancer.

Fight Back
The event inspires Relay participants to take action against a disease that has taken too much.

Opening Ceremony: 9:00am
The Opening Ceremony brings everyone together for a high-energy event kickoff to celebrate the lives of those who have battled cancer, to inspire hope by sharing recent accomplishments and progress, and to remind everyone that while we are winning this battle, fighting cancer is a year-round priority.

Survivors Lap: 9:30am
During the Survivors Lap, upbeat music plays as all cancer survivors at the event take the first lap around the track cheered on by the other participants who line the track, celebrating their victory over cancer.

Luminaria Ceremony: 8:00pm
The Luminaria Ceremony is a time to remember people we have lost to cancer, to support people who currently have cancer, and to honor people who have fought cancer in the past. The power of this ceremony lies in providing an opportunity for people to work through grief and find hope.

Fight Back: 9:00am
The Fight Back Ceremony symbolizes the emotional commitment we each make to the fight against cancer. The action we take represents what we are willing to do for ourselves, for our loved ones, and for our community to fight cancer year-round and to commit to saving lives.

Closing Ceremony: 9:00am
The Closing Ceremony is a time to remember the lives of those lost and to celebrate that each of us has committed, through our participation in a Relay event, to fight back against this disease over the next year.
