Get pumped up at the Great Spear-it Run!

Choose from two scenic courses at the beautiful Downtown Stockton Waterfront; a fast and flat 1-mile, 5K and 5-Mile. 
All races end at the Weber Point Events Center. 1-Mile starts at 8 am, 5K and 5-mile starts at 8:20 am.

You can register any time, including after April 24th by signing up at Fleet Feet Stockton, 277 Lincoln Center North (Pershing & Benjamin Holt). Or you can mail your application by downloading the application and mail with fee payable to Stockton Asparagus Festival to:

Strike Out Homelessness Fundraising Bowling Tournament December 1, 2012

The Leadership Stockton Class of 2012-13 has chosen their project and is ready to start raising money!!  With the success of last year’s bowling fundraiser the class has decided to do it again!!  Please mark your calendars for Saturday, December 1st and see the link for the registration form and for a letter from the class on the project.  To get more information on sponsoring, donating a raffle prize or to sign up your bowling team please contact Donnie Hernandez at (209) 482-6075 or dhernandez@croceco.com.

Letter from the Leadership Stockton Class of 2012-13:

The smell of fresh paint, the special bedspread, sheets and pictures on the wall gives each of us that sense of security and well-being for a good night’s sleep. All tucked in with the warmth and feeling of home. This is the environment the Leadership Stockton Class of 2012-2013 wishes to create for Stockton’s Homeless families.

The class has chosen Stockton Shelter for the Homeless and the Gospel Center Rescue Mission for upgrading. The Stockton Shelter for the Homeless project includes completely redecorating, painting and installing new flooring in two rooms. We will also be participating in activities with the families, in particular the children living at the Shelter. The Gospel Center Rescue Mission project includes installing new flooring in the common area and dining hall of the facility. You are invited to join with us in supporting these worthy projects by sponsoring and participating in our first fund-raiser “Strike Out Homelessness” Bowling Tournament. Please help us spread the word by liking us on Facebook-Leadership Stockton 2013 page.

The tournament will be held on Saturday, December 1st at Pacific Avenue Bowl from 11am-3pm. Please complete the sponsorship form and return the form and raffle items by Wednesday, November 21st, 2012.We look forward to you joining with us in lifting the spirits of the residents of these two homeless shelters. Although we call them projects they are truly about people, many who are women and children who need our compassion and the warmth of feeling at home.
