Color Me Rad stages 5K races that transform runners into mobile rainbows by launching cheerful barrages of colored cornstarch.
Each color station along the racetrack flings a new, nontoxic pigment at passersby, who wear white shirts to enhance the chromatic onslaught’s costuming effects.
Brilliant neon-blue, green, purple, and yellow clouds dapple participants along the way, and the race concludes with a prismatic finish-line finale as sprinters chuck colors at each other in celebration.
The race’s noncompetitive credo shifts the emphasis from speed to silliness, and a portion of its proceeds go to local charities.
Upon registration, each runner collects a Color Me Rad T-shirt, sunglasses, sponsor gifts, and a race bib.
Though they don’t receive a gift packet, runners younger than 8 years old can sprint for free, provided they have a waiver signed by a guardian and won’t give in to demands for gold from confused leprechauns.

What Is Relay For Life?
Each year, more than 4 million people in over 20 countries raise much-needed funds and awareness to save lives from cancer through the Relay For Life movement.
During a Relay event, participants and survivors celebrate what they’ve overcome.
We remember people lost to the disease, and honor people who have fought or are fighting cancer.
The event inspires Relay participants to take action against a disease that has taken too much.
Opening Ceremony: 9:00am
The Opening Ceremony brings everyone together for a high-energy event kickoff to celebrate the lives of those who have battled cancer, to inspire hope by sharing recent accomplishments and progress, and to remind everyone that while we are winning this battle, fighting cancer is a year-round priority.
Survivors Lap: 9:30am
During the Survivors Lap, upbeat music plays as all cancer survivors at the event take the first lap around the track cheered on by the other participants who line the track, celebrating their victory over cancer.
Luminaria Ceremony: 8:00pm
The Luminaria Ceremony is a time to remember people we have lost to cancer, to support people who currently have cancer, and to honor people who have fought cancer in the past. The power of this ceremony lies in providing an opportunity for people to work through grief and find hope.
Fight Back: 9:00am
The Fight Back Ceremony symbolizes the emotional commitment we each make to the fight against cancer. The action we take represents what we are willing to do for ourselves, for our loved ones, and for our community to fight cancer year-round and to commit to saving lives.
Closing Ceremony: 9:00am
The Closing Ceremony is a time to remember the lives of those lost and to celebrate that each of us has committed, through our participation in a Relay event, to fight back against this disease over the next year.

On Tuesday runners gathered at Dry Creek Trail in Modesto for a Boston Memorial 3-Mile Run.
This was an amazing event put on by RunFit Fitness Center.
Before the run people got to hear an inspirational message about resilience and courage from Vicky King, a local runner who was unable to complete the Boston Marathon last year.
Vicky is returning to Boston this year to finish what she started and we all will be running with her in spirit.
Much love to Boston as they hold their 118th race on Monday!
We are Boston Strong!!
